Introduction& Objective : Job stress and reason’s them is one of the important psychiatric subjects that from years ago it has paid attention many researchers. Physical and mental health was affected by job stress. Now a day the hygiene personal is known as a group under stress, that important part of them is nurses.

Materials & Methods: This was a cross-sectional study carried out for mental health of nurses in Qazvin’s hospitals. GHQ-28 questionnaires were distributed between 350 of nurses. Using &chi2 test, Pearson correlation coefficient and regression with P<0.05 significant performed statistical analysis.

Results: 144 (42.2%) were abnormal and 197 (57.8%) were normal. 43.5% of females and 32.5% of males were abnormal. 44.4% of married and 37.7% of single were abnormal. The most mental disorders (50%) were in second shift (afternoon).  The most mental disorder was in nurses of the Kosar maternity hospital (57.3%). There was statistical association between marriage status and physical disorder (P<0.05). Correlation coefficient between total scale (for 28 question) and physical disorder, anxiety disorder, social function disorder and depression were obtained 0.824, 0.884, 0.680 and 0.772 respectively.

Conclusion: By attention of results, we recommended training of nurses for using the opposition methods with stress.
