Abstract

Introduction: Since the outset of nursing care, group work processes have evolved into essential components of a nurse's role and responsibilities within the health care system.The aim of this study was to analyze the factors facilitating teamwork among nurses working in teaching hospitals, affiliated to University of Medical Sciences Ahvaz have taken place.

Materials and Methods: This descriptive study was conducted in 1394 applied. The population of all levels of school nurses undergraduate and graduate university medical centers that Simple random sampling using Cochran formula, 294 persons were studied. Instruments in this research made questionnaire whose validity and reliability were verified. In order to analyze the data, descriptive statistics, inferential and exploratory factor analysis were used in statistical software SPSS21.

Results: The factors facilitating teamwork among nurses working in teaching hospitals, treatment consists of seven components that were 64.75 of the variance. The role of organizational support (13%), team working skills (13%), flexible structure (10%), participative leadership (9%), group ethics requirements (7%), affecting teamwork (7%), and control lever (5%), facilitating teamwork among nurses.

 Discussion and conclusion: Facilitate teamwork as one of the fundamental problems in organizations related to the health field is transformed and investment in this area will result in useful and beneficial for organizations.
