مقدمه: مراقبت معنوی می­تواند اثرات مثبتی بر سلامت جسمی و روانی بیماران گذاشته، روند بهبودی را تسهیل و رضایت­مندی بیماران را افزایش دهد. هوش معنوی نیز می­تواند از عوامل تأثیرگذار بر رفتارهای مراقبتی پرستاران باشد. لذا این مطالعه با هدف تعیین ارتباط بین صلاحیت حرفه­ای دانشجویان رشته پرستاری در حیطه مراقبت معنوی و هوش معنوی انجام شد.
روش کار­: این پژوهش توصیفی – همبستگی بر روی ۱۴۰ دانشجوی پرستاری دانشکده پرستاری و مامایی دانشگاه جندی شاپور اهواز که به روش سرشماری وارد مطالعه شدند در سال ۱۳۹۵ انجام شد. ابزار گردآوری داده­ها شامل پرسشنامه اطلاعات دموگرافیک، پرسشنامه هوش معنوی و پرسشنامه صلاحیت بالینی در حیطه مراقبت معنوی بود. داده­ها با استفاده از آمار توصیفی و آمار استنباطی شامل آزمون t مستقل، کراسکال والیس، آزمون همبستگی پیرسون و رگرسیون خطی ساده در نرم افزار آماری SPSS ۱۹ تجزیه و تحلیل شد.
یافته ­ها: بین هوش معنوی با صلاحیت حرفه­ای دانشجویان پرستاری در حیطه مراقبت معنوی ارتباط مثبت و معناداری وجود داشت (۰.۰۰۱>p، ۰.۳۳=r). از بین متغیرهای دموگرافیک فقط بین افرادی که دوره­های آموزشی را گذرانده بودند و کسانی که این دوره­ها را سپری نکرده بودند در هوش معنوی اختلاف معنادار وجود داشت. همچنین مدل رگرسیون خطی ساده نشان داد که به ازای هر بار افزایش در هوش معنوی دانشجویان صلاحیت حرفه­ای آنها در حیطه مراقبت معنوی ۰/۵۴ بار افزایش می ­یابد.
نتیجه­ گیری: هوش معنوی می­تواند بر صلاحیت دانشجویان پرستاری در حیطه مراقبت معنوی تأثیرگذار باشد لذا شایسته است در جهت ارتقاء هوش معنوی دانشجویان و در نتیجه صلاحیت بالینی در حیطه مراقبت معنوی برنامه ­ریزی­ های مناسبی صورت گیرد.
