مقدمه: بیماران انتقالی از ICU  به بخش عمومی، نیازمند توجه و مراقبت پرستاری در سطح بالاتری نسبت به سایر بیماران بستری در بخش دارند. بخش های عمومی برای مراقبت از این دسته بیماران مجهز نشده اند، بنابراین این بیماران درخطر تهدید سلامتی هستند. لذا این مطالعه به تاثیر نقش پرستار رابط بر شاخص های فیزیولوژیک و سطح هوشیاری بیماران انتقالی از بخش مراقبت های ویژه به‌عنوان راه حل پرداخت.
مواد و روش ها: مقاله حاضر، حاصل یک کارآزمایی بالینی دو گروهی می‌باشد که در بخش های ویژه و عمومی یک بیمارستان دولتی بر روی ۹۰ بیمار بستری به روش نمونه گیری در دسترس و به صورت تصادفی انجام شد. گروه کنترل مراقبت های معمول را دریافت کردند و در گروه مداخله تا سه روز، روزی دو بار توسط پرستار رابط ویزیت شدند. ابزار مورد استفاده چک لیست شاخص‌های فیزیولوژیک و تست های آزمایشگاهی می باشد. برای توصیف داده ها از میانگین، انحراف معیار، واریانس و درصد فراوانی توسط نرم افزار  SPSS نسخه ۱۶ استفاده شد.
یافته‌ها:  اختلاف معنیداری بین مشخصات دموگرافیک و بالینی دو گروه مشاهده نشد. در شروع مطالعه دو گروه از نظر میانگین شاخص های فیزیولوژیک و تست‌‌های آزمایشگاهی تفاوت آماری معنیداری نداشتند. بعد از مداخله پرستار رابط بخش مراقبتهای ویژه، تستهای آزمایشگاهی تفاوتی نداشت و در گروه آزمون و کنترل میانگین فشار خون سیستول (۶۷۴/۰=p) و میانگین فشارخون دیاستول (۰/۷۵۷=p)، میانگین فشار متوسط شریانی(۰/۷۹۳=p) و تعداد ضربان قلب (۰/۲۵۵=p) تفاوت آماری معنی داری نشان نداد. میانگین تعداد تنفس (۰/۰۰۱=(p و میانگین درجه حرارت (۰/۰۲۰=(P در دو گروه اختلاف معنی‌داری داشت، ولی دو گروه در محدوده طبیعی بودند. تفاوتی بین دو گروه هر چند از لحاظ آماری معنیدار می‌باشد، از لحاظ بالینی اهمیتی ندارد.
نتیجه ­گیری: خدمات پرستار رابط بر شاخصهای فیزیولوژیک و تستهای آزمایشگاهی در بیماران انتقالی از بخش مراقبت
های ویژه به بخش عمومی در این مطالعه موثر نبود.
