مقدمه: با توجه به تغییرات اساسی در نگرش زنان، خصوصا در ایران، برای کاهش باروری، نقش برنامه‌های تنظیم خانواده، تحولات مختلف اجتماعی، فرهنگی، سنتی و تغییرات مرتبط با رفتارها و تمایلات در کاهش باروری این پژوهش تأثیر مشاوره گروهی را بر نگرش درباره «فرزند به‌عنوان رکن زندگی» در زنان مراجعه‌کننده به مراکز جامع سلامت شهر همدان بررسی می‌کند.
روش کار: در این پژوهش مقطعی 116 زن واجد شرایط از مراکز خدمات سلامت شهر همدان به صورت تصادفی انتخاب شدند. دادها با استفاده از پرسشنامه اطلاعات دموگرافیک و پرسشنامه نگرش باروری و فرزند‌آوری جمع‌آوری شد. برای تجزیه‌وتحلیل داده‌ها از نرم‌افزار SPSS نسخه 24 استفاده و سطح اطمینان 95 درصد در نظر گرفته شد.
یافته‌ها: میانگین سن زنان 4±41/25 سال و میانگین زمان سپری‌شده از ازدواج 02/3±37/3 سال بود. 20/46 درصد زنان تحصیلات دانشگاهی و 05/71 درصد زنان درآمد خانوار متوسطی داشتند. در گروه مداخله مشاوره گروهی بر تغییر نگرش زنان به «فرزند به‌عنوان رکن زندگی» مؤثر بوده است (01/0P<).
نتیجه گیری: نگرش زنان به «فرزند به‌عنوان رکن زندگی» پس از مشاوره مثبت شده است. برگزاری جلسات مشاوره‌ای در‌باره جایگاه فرزند در زندگی در قشرهای مختلف سنی، تحصیلی و در همه سطوح اجتماعی جامعه پیشنهاد می‌شود.
