To prevent from these diseases, compliance with standard precautions is essential. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of compliance with standard precautions in midwives, midwifery students & helper staff of 3 birth centers in Hamadan.   Methods: This cross-sectional study was carried out on72 health care workers including 23 midwives, 34 midwifery students and 15 helper staff who worked at three birth centers of Hamadan city by convenience sampling. Data gathering device was a checklist and observation was the method of collecting data.   Result : Findings of the study showed that compliance with standard precautions in 56.5% of midwives was at poor level and in 43.5% of them at good level. It was also demonstrated that 64.7% of midwifery students had poor level of compliance with standard precautions and 35.3% had good level. Based on the study, 100% of helper staff had poor level of compliance with standard precautions   Conclusion: The average level of compliance with standard precautions among the subjects of study dosn’t stand at a good point.
