The aim of this study was to determine the effect of teach back education on self-care behaviors and quality of life in patients with myocardial infarction in 2015 in Hamadan. Methods: In this quasi-experimental study, 70 Patients with myocardial infarction were selected with random available sampling and randomly divided to control and case groups. Three sessions, each for 45 minutes in 10 days, were performed for the case group. After one month and after the last training session, Mc New questionnaires were completed by both experimental and control groups. Data were analyzed with SPSS software (version 16) by descriptive statistics, independent-t and paired-t tests. Results: In the case group, there was a significant difference between the mean scores of quality of life. However, the difference was not significant in the control group. There were significant differences between the mean scores of quality of life of case and control groups after the intervention. Conclusions: In the present study, teach back training method improved the quality of life in patients with myocardial infarction. Considering its important role of nurses, they can use these training methods to improve the quality of life for patients with heart problems. M3 10.21859/nmj-25011 ER -
