مقدمه: افسردگی شایع‌ترین پیامد روان‌شناختی در بیماران مبتلا به آسیب‌های نخاعی است؛ از این‌رو مطالعه حاضر با هدف تعیین تأثیر حساسیت‌زدایی با حرکات چشم و پردازش مجدد بر میزان افسردگی بیماران مبتلا به ضایعه نخاعی انجام شده است.
روش کار: این مطالعه یک کارآزمایی بالینی تصادفی‌شده است. ۴۰ بیمار مبتلا به ضایعه نخاعی در مرکز توان‌بخشی حدیث شهر قزوین در سال ۱۳۹۸-۱۳۹۷، به‌صورت نمونه‌گیری در دسترس انتخاب و سپس به‌طور تصادفی به دو گروه مساوی تقسیم شدند. روش حساسیت‌زدایی با حرکات چشم و پردازش مجدد در پنج جلسه به مدت ۹۰ دقیقه برای گروه آزمون انجام شد. گردآوری اطلاعات با استفاده از پرسشنامه جمعیت‌شناختی و افسردگی بک ویرایش دوم انجام شد. میزان افسردگی بیماران قبل، یک، سه و شش ماه بعد از اجرای مداخله اندازه‌گیری شد. داده‌ها با استفاده از نرم‌افزار SPSS نسخه ۲۳ و آزمون‌های آماری t مستقل، t زوجی، کای اسکوئر و آنالیز واریانس تجزیه و تحلیل شدند.
یافته‌ها: نتایج مطالعه نشان می‌دهد، میانگین میزان افسردگی در گروه آزمون و کنترل، قبل از مداخله، به‌ترتیب ۱۰/۴ ± ۳۱/۴ و ۶/۳ ± ۳۰/۵ بود که با آزمون (۰/۳=t،۰/۷=P) اختلاف معنی‌داری بین دو گروه مشاهده نشد و یک ماه پس از مداخله در گروه آزمون به ۵/۷ ± ۲۲/۱ و کنترل ۶/۶ ± ۳۰/۳ رسید که با عنایت به آزمون (۴/۱=t، ۰/۰۰۱<P) اختلاف معنی‌داری بین دو گروه مشاهده شد. این نتایج در سه و شش ماه بعد از مداخله درمانی نیز تداوم داشت (۴/۰۵-=t، ۰/۰۰۱<P).
نتیجه‌گیری: روش درمانی حساسیت‌زدایی با حرکات چشم و پردازش مجدد به‌عنوان روش غیردارویی در کاهش علائم افسردگی بیماران مبتلا به ضایعه نخاعی توصیه می‌شود. نتایج حاصل از این پژوهش مؤید آن است که روش EMDR بر درمان و کاهش نمرات افسردگی بیماران دارای ضایعه نخاعی که علائم افسردگی مؤثر است. این نتایج در سه و شش ماه بعد از مداخله درمانی نیز تداوم دارد و می‌توان از آن به‌عنوان روشی غیردارویی، مکمل و اثربخش در درمان افسردگی بیماران مبتلا به ضایعه نخاعی استفاده کرد.
