مقدمه: این مطالعه با هدف تعیین تأثیر مشاوره قبل از زایمان بردانش و عملکرد زنان نخست باردار درخصوص مراقبتهای پس از زایمان انجام گرفت.
روش‌کار: پژوهش نیمه‌تجربی با مطالعه دوگروهی قبل و بعد، بر روی مادران نخست باردار مراجعه‌کننده به مراکز سلامت شهر همدان در سال ۱۳۹۶ انجام شد. نمونه‌گیری به صورت طبقه بندی‌شده انجام شد و تعداد ۹۶ زن نخست باردار ۳۴-۳۲ هفته و واجد شرایط، در دو گروه ۴۸ نفره آزمون و کنترل قرار گرفتند. پرسش‌نامه های مشخصات دموگرافیک و دانش مراقبتهای پس از زایمان توسط هر دو گروه تکمیل شد؛ سپس برای گروه آزمون، ۳ جلسه مشاوره هفتگی ۴۵ دقیقه ای برگزار شد. گروه کنترل، آموزش‌های معمول دوران بارداری را دریافت کردند. دانش مادران باردار پس از اتمام مداخله نیز سنجیده شد؛ ارزیابی عملکرد ۴۲ روز پس از زایمان و با استفاده از سیستم یکپارچه بهداشتی (سامانه کشوری سیب) صورت گرفت. تحلیل داده‌ها با استفاده از نرم افزار SPSS نسخه ۲۰ انجام شد.
یافته‌ها: میانگین نمرات دانش مادران از مراقبت های پس از زایمان در گروه آزمون قبل و پس از مداخله از ۷/۱±۱۷/۴ به ۶ /۶±۳۳/۳ افزایش یافت؛ در گروه کنترل میانگین نمرات قبل و پس از مداخله از ۵/۴± ۲۰/۸ به ۵/۸±۲۱/۶ افزایش یافت؛ میانگین نمرات گروه آزمون اختلاف معناداری با گروه کنترل پیدا کرد (۰/۰۰۱<P). همچنین میانگین نمرات عملکرد مادران در مراقبتهای پس از زایمان در گروه آزمون بیشتر از گروه کنترل بود (۱/۵±۱۳، ۱/۹±۱۰) و اختلاف معناداری با گروه کنترل داشت (۰/۰۰۱<P).
نتیجه‌گیری: نتایج مطالعه حاضر، بیانگر تأثیر مثبت مشاوره قبل از زایمان بر افزایش سطح دانش و بهبود عملکرد مادران در مراقبت های پس از زایمان است. بنابراین، پیشنهاد می شود به علت بروز مشکلات متنوع پس از زایمان، آموزش‌های مربوطه در زمان قبل از زایمان ارائه شود.
