Introduction: Mindfulness-based interventions are considered one of the cognitive-behavioral treatments, the learning of which in patients reduces psychological stress resulting from diseases such as leukemia. Therefore, the present study was conducted with the aim of determining the effectiveness of mindfulness-based cognitive therapy on life expectancy, helplessness tolerance, and psychological well-being of cancer patients. Method: The present study was an interventional study. The statistical population included all patients with leukemia at Shahid Mahallati Hospital in Tabriz in 1402, of which 30 patients were selected based on the study entry criteria and were randomly assigned to two experimental groups (15 people) and control (15 people). The experimental group received 8 90-minute mindfulness-based stress reduction training sessions based on the educational package, but the control group did not receive any intervention.
